The Virginia Creeper Trail is a beautiful, 34 mile long trail that runs from Whitetop Station, Va to Abingdon, Va. Along the trail you'll also see the picturesque communitities of Green Cove, Taylors Valley, Damascus, and Alvarado. The Creeper Trail is perhaps best know as a bike trail, but it's much more. The trail is also open to horseback riding, and hiking. Many fisherman will enjoy the stocked sections of the Whitetop Laurel River. The river also offers swimming holes and occasionaly opportunities for kayaking when the water is high enough. Whatever you enjoy about the outdoors, theres a good chance you'll find it on or near the Virginia Creeper Trail.
